In Hesse, the infection hygiene regulation usually requires a “Sachkundenachweis Hygiene 2” – a 40-hour course including reprocessing, normally held in person. Our online certificate does not replace it; the state page explains what to do. In Saxony, § 2 SächsHygVO requires you to prove the necessary knowledge, including basic anatomy – whether your certificate is sufficient is decided by the public health office. In Schleswig-Holstein, further training is mandatory. Most other states have hygiene regulations without an explicit obligation to prove training; Brandenburg, Saxony-Anhalt and Thuringia have no hygiene regulation of their own, so the general rules apply (Brandenburg still requires notification under § 3 (2) BbgGDG). Will my public health office accept the certificate?
That is up to your public health office. Our certificate lists all content in bullet points, the scope and an authenticity check via QR code – exactly what offices typically want to see.
How long does the main course take?
About 8 teaching units; the minimum learning time is 6 hours. You can pause at any time.
What happens if I don't pass the questions?
You'll see which topics are still missing and can answer again after a short waiting period.
How long does the certificate last?
It has no expiry date. We recommend a refresher after two years and will remind you if you like.
Can I look things up later?
Yes. After purchase you'll find all learning content of your course under “Knowledge” – permanently, in the version you passed.
What happens to my data?
We only store what is needed for your account, the course and the certificate. No trackers. Details in the privacy policy.
